How many Electronic Harassment Victims In South Africa

Electronic harassment is a crime that is unknown to almost most of society or at least kept under wraps by those commit the acts. Whats more, its virtually impossible at the moment to get any official figures since reported cases, to police or medical practitioners, are virtually ignored.

This sort of number is nearly impossible to derive, there is no way to tell even as a very educated guess. So I took a shot at trying to estimate the number of gang stalking or electronic harassment victims in South Africa.

Eventually I came up with 2 estimates, a range from 2000 to 5000 victims.

Estimation 1
Made a number of assumptions.
1. Targeting only happens in metropolitan areas. Simply because the concept is mostly first world based.
2. There would have to be a motive for targeting (such as insurance fraud) so only those that are employed are likely candidates.
3. Because SA is a second world country only 0.1% of the candidates are targeted.
4. Workplace mobbing, the tactic used to drive a candidate victim out of a job only applies to 25% of the top earners.

SA Work Force = 9,000,000 workers
Candidate Pool = 25% of the top earners of work force = 2,250,000
Targets only 0.1% = 0.1% of 2,250,000 = 2250
So there are roughly 2300 victims

Estimation 2 – Only a fraction of Unites States Data
Assumptions
1. Its ten times less likely to be a victim in South Africa than it is in the Unites States
2. South Africa being a second world country, less employment opportunities or less earning power

Unites States affected population = roughly 0.1%.
SA 10 times less likely = 0.01% of population
SA population = 50 000,000
No Of Targets = 0,01% of 50 000,000 = 5000

So there are between 2300 and 5000 victims in South Africa (numbers base purely on guesstimates).

This would be in the big cities such as Gauteng (Joburg, Pretoria) Cape Town, Durban

  1. I have been gang stalked and electronically harassed in the East rand region and would like to get the word spread that targets are starting to find each other. Petitions and government acknowledgement will be successful once the United States starts taking these crimes against humanity seriously which certain police departments are doing by opening up investigations. This era of wickedness will be stopped and the real criminals will end up in prison.
